Sasha Kojjio
media artist
Sasha Kojjio is a Barcelona-based media artist working across audiovisual installations and generative art. Informed by natural systems and animal expressiveness, his practice examines the connections between language, technology and human perception.

For Kojjio, code functions as a language and the algorithm as a structured statement: a set of rules that governs the behaviour of elements, whether pixels on a screen, kinetic devices or interacting systems. The algorithms inherit the characteristics and constraints of the language, which he explores and reworks by adding mathematical functions inspired by natural processes such as flowing water, shifting landscapes, wind currents or the flicker of a flame. Through this approach, Kojjio creates a sense of pseudo-unpredictability, evoking the behaviour of living organisms while remaining firmly anchored within the logic of code.

Kojjio’s works, including those developed with his artistic collective media.tribe, have been presented in exhibitions and festivals across America, Europe and Asia.
