semantic failure 360
Audiovisual artwork created for 360 projection spaces employs aesthetics of textual structures to explore the complexity of digital communication and the nature of meaning in the AI.

2025

semantic failure is a video installation where text becomes a key visual element. For each show, I adapt my work to a new space, deeply reworking it and developing the original concept, adding new details and algorithms, as well as putting in fresh ideas and meanings. To some extent, each new installation show is a unique slice of my creative path.

The idea of working with text came while traveling through Asian countries, and was inspired by the ability of consciousness to make correlations between combinations of characters of an unfamiliar alphabet and their meanings. And with the help of the installation, I wanted to reflect on the phenomenon of perceiving the text of signage and signs in a foreign language, when you do not know the meaning of a symbol, do not know how it is pronounced, read its meaning at the level of sensations.

In this immersive version of semantic failure, I explore the complexity of digital communication and the nature of meaning in the age of AI, working with the aesthetics of textual structures.

Here I shift the focus from semantic meaning to visual forms and emotions, emphasizing the transition from logical to sensory perception. In this work, I perceive all the projection surfaces as a single canvas and create an image in such a way that, continuously moving between the walls and the floor, it opens up new compositional facets and transforms the viewer's sense of space.
